Window Shopping

As I dream of having my own shop and my own business, I've been admiring those who do.   Photos here of designers Heiberg Cummings store in Brooklyn, New York.

The following photo is from Bloom in Sag Harbor, New York.  I would love to visit this shop some day (perhaps I would run into Ina Garten--she's a fan of the shop) .

Straw hats and Espadrilles.  I can almost feel summer (well, maybe not yet).

I love the textures and the neutral colors.

I wonder what these canister originally held.

And here's the exterior of Bloom.  It looks like a delightful place, doesn't it?
Here's to a happy weekend (a bit early) and to the first day of spring, even though it is still snowing in Boston.

  1. Bloom does look like a nice place to visit! I love small shops with specialty items! I miss that part of living near larger cities.

    1. Interesting, Liz. Most of the shops I'm drawn to these days are out in the country / suburbs!

  5. Deborah, as I see these photos, I can totally imagine a shop of yours. It would be airy and pale and full of very classic and also unusual things. I would LOVE to visit you there. :)
Maybe I will move to Boston and we can open one together. Hmm. Now I just have to find some spare money...

    1. Hi Loi - I havne't spend much time in Brooklyn. Jon and I have been there a few times to see performances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), but no shopping! :) It would be great to explore more of the area sometime.

  7. OMG, Deborah, I've never been to Sag Harbor, but if ever I am, Bloom is the first place to which I am hotfooting it. Ina always credits it for many of her table arrangement goodies and it so looks like her. Heiberg Cummings looks great, but Bloom is where I long to go. Thanks for your images.
