House Hunting Outside Paris

Actually, I'm not house hunting anywhere right now, but if you dream of owning a home in France, The New York Times suggests looking just outside Paris in Neuilly-Sur-Seine where your dollar (or a few million of them) will go a bit farther than it will in Paris.

Lovely view.
The article presents a feature on a apartment in the area for sale.  Unfortunately, there are only a few photos of the apartment.

This photo gives an odd perspective of the living and dining room, but they probably didn't have interior design fanatics like you and me in mind when they took the photos.  It would be nice to see more details of the room.

I was completely charmed by the kitchen and what appears to be a La Cornue range.  I've only fiddled with the knobs on the display model at Williams-Sonoma.  I wonder what it's like to actually use it.

A serene master bath with an interesting finish on the wall panels.  What a lovely place in which to start the day.

~ Happy Monday ~

  1. Hi Deborah,
Those white & gold la cornue ranges are gorgeous! I would love to visit Paris in late April for two weeks and take in all the beautiful Cathedrals and michein starred restaurants and the famous castles & chateau with their gardens!

  2. Yum... all of it looks wonderful! I love that kitchen- the range is out of this world fabulous and I like the dining table and seating arrangement. Lots of good counter space - in fact it's really quite huge for France from what I've seen on HGTV.

  3. Who wouldn’t love to find a home in Paris? Thanks for sharing these photos, Deborah! You said you’re not looking for a new house, but I think house hunting in Paris would be fun. Hehe! Anyway, allow me to share these photos to my friends who are looking for a new place. Thanks again! :)

  6. My kid's went to school there at Marymount and its easy to get into the would be so dreamy to have a place there!!!

  7. Wow…loving the bathroom. Don't know that I've ever seen finished paneling like this in a bathroom, but it looks amazing!!

  8. Wow! Those photos are enough to make anyone dream about living in France! It looks amazing! However, I think it shouldn’t be based with the beauty of the house. There are some things to consider like the accessibility of the place, the neighborhood, and so on. But being in France certainly is a huge selling point. Haha!
