This is the perfect low maintenance garden, although the boxwood requires occasional pruning to keep its shape. The lavender provides some softness against the structured boxwood, planters, and stone. I wish I could duplicate this look in my own yard (especially now that the snow is gone).
SO neat and orderly...wish my flower garden looked like that!

God, I love boxwood. It dies here in the cold desert.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I am nuts about it.

Two of my favorite plants. As the years have passed I find myself adding more and more boxwoods to my gardens. Just love them and the best thing is all the deer do not!
ReplyDeleteBoxwood is one plant I haven't put in my garden area but I've always had dreams of starting one of those well manicured designs. The lavender makes a nice contrast with the boxwood..thanks for sharing! Liz

ReplyDeletei have boxwood and now I know what to plant next to them. You have the most beautiful blog, Ilove the seashell mirror you posted earlier. I love to collect seashells. I am getting some good ideas here.
ReplyDeleteThank You,

We still have about a foot of snow left and I can’t wait for it to melt! That garden is gorgeous and you aren’t helping me with my spring fever! I wish I could have as tidy a garden as that one but leaves, pine needles and whatever else Mother Nature tosses in makes it impossible. I do have boxwood everywhere and love them!
ReplyDeleteDon’t forget no blogging tomorrow in honor of Japan it’s a BLOGGERS DAY OF SILENCE! MARCH 18TH……
I really love the combination of the lavender(yum) and the boxwoods!

So pretty! Love it....and love the combination of the soft wild lavender and the perfectly manicured prettiness of the gorgeous topiary balls..beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, what a great combination. And as you said, looks easy to maintain.
ReplyDeleteLove the combination of lavender and boxwoods. I have tried to grow lavender several times... with limited success. I am sure I will try again.

I just love the gravel and boxwood and lavender combined. I am in the process of reworking my back garden and I cannot wait to get some crunchy gravel out there and to edge all of my beds in tiny boxwoods.
ReplyDeleteI posted the paint color of my bedroom. In case you missed it, it's BM Edgecomb Gray. Thanks for your sweet comment. Being a new blogger, I appreciate it more than you know.

This is stunning! I'm actually working with Debra from 5th and State on redoing the exterior of my home. I see she's seen this link - it will be great to be able to talk about it with her. Thanks for the inspiration!
