Somehow, the media fervor over the wedding of Wills and Kate escaped me until earlier this week. Suddenly finding myself without the customary treats to celebrate the British Royal nuptials, I express ordered a tin of Harney & Sons Royal Wedding Tea. With no time to bake proper scones, I plan to set the alarm for 4:00 am (well, maybe 5:00 am), heat up some cinnamon rolls and ooh and aah over the pageantry with a cup of tea while waiting for my plumber to arrive. Yes, that's right. Plumber, not prince. Hopefully, the plumber won't arrive at the same time that Kate arrives at Westminster Abbey. Perish the thought!
Dear Lady Flora Bambi-Lakeshore - do enjoy your Royal Wedding tea & cinnamon rolls, albeit it possibly with the Royal plumber!

Thank you, Lady Edie Ginger-L'Estrange. Fortunately, like you, I have already found my prince!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Post corrected from "bake proper sconces" to "bake proper scones". It has been a long week!
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing! Here's hoping your plumber arrives looking like a prince! Personally I like the sconces and scones thing, made my evening. If said plumber arrives the same time Kate in her dress does make him watch with you, you have to see the DRESS! It's all about the dress!
ReplyDeleteI. Can't. Wait. I didn't get the tea so I will use my English tea, but I have made chicken salad finger tea sandwiches, lemon scones and mint for my tea. I willhave to order the tea. Love Harney & Sons tea.
ReplyDeleteWell enjoy!

LOL..I'm visualizing white chocolate sconces! The scones would go well with them too! I will be in a car traveling and will be missing the event. If you have the kind of luck I do, the plumber will arrive precisely in time to distract you from the wedding ceremony....so I agree make him watch with you!! Enjoy the event, I will have to see re-runs! I know she will be stunning!
ReplyDeleteTally ho and all that. Have fun. Wedding starts at 4am here. Don't think I will get up, but maybe. Have to work tomorrow....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!! I remember being 10 yrs old and getting up early to watch Lady Di wed.

ReplyDeletei am betting that the plumber showed up as she was exiting the car and if you were in a rush, he would never show! those plumbers; very sneaky
