Leopard and Roses

Is there anything more inviting about a room than warm colors, rich textures, and fresh flowers? This photo caught my eye while browsing Antiques Shops & Designers Magazine this morning.  It's an advertisement for Caroline Ellsworth Antiques in Houston, Texas. I've not had the pleasure of visiting Houston, but when I do someday, I'll be sure to visit Ellsworth's shop.

There must be as many fabulous antique shops in Houston as there are snow banks in Boston during January (January 2011, to be exact).

  1. Very beautiful! The roses seem romantic against the leopard print. Much better looking than snow banks! Boy do we have them here too1 You guys sure are getting it this year...I wonder what your total snow accumulation is for the winter? Ours official snow fall for our county is 116.75 inches..

  2. I have never been a leopard fan, but this looks very inviting! We were in Houston last March and there were so many great shops - lots of antiques, great reproductions, very decorated traditional shops, so I was in heaven. Calgary is a very young, contemporary town so there is little here for me and Houston was a dream!!

We are getting a lot of snow this weekend - it's a drag indeed!

  5. Beautiful photograph as usual. I have two leopard foot stools and dare anyone to use them. They simply enhance any design.

  7. First, big fan of your blog. Love your ideas and pics. I am from Houston, but currently spending my first New England winter on Martha's Vineyard. So, yes, lots of snow and yes, lots of amazing antique shops in Houston. Also, if you ever get the chance to do Round Top Weekend, you will not be sorry. It is only an hour or so out of Houston...you would love it. Keep up the fabulous work!
