Silver and Gold

Homes & Gardens Magazine. Photographed by Catherine Gratwicke

Thanksgiving has passed and we're very nearly in December, so I'm getting in the Christmas mood. Off to get a Christmas tree at the end of the week!

Here are some images which remind me of the holiday season. There's no Christmas tree in sight in the top image, but the silver and gold accents remind me of winter and the holidays.

  1. Those are so pretty - love the snowflakes off the chandi look. I'm not even thinking about decorating for the holidays yet, but am tucking away ideas...

  3. I love the silver and gold versus the bright red and green look at christmas. That being said I will probably use green and gold this year! I hope you post pics of your tree.

  4. What gorgeous images -all very unusual. I love that Empire chandelier with the hanging ornaments. We are getting our tree on the coming weekend too. I am not in the spirit yet, but everyone is putting lights up and we got snow today, so very festive!

  5. My darling Mum always said 'Don't mix silver & gold, it's just not done.' Well I'm hoping she meant jewellery because the mixture of the two in your first image is a triumph Deborah!
